Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Banking Risk Data Sme

to join a major banking transformation programme in Dubai.

This is a highly visible role requiring a seasoned banking professional with deep expertise across Risk, Data Management, Data Quality, Reconciliation, and Regulatory Reporting.

This role requires strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work closely with senior business leaders, subsidiary teams, and technology partners to drive data quality, governance, testing, and business rule validation activities.

Risk Data Management & Analysis

  • Lead data discovery activities and identify relevant data sources across the organisation.
  • Analyse data to identify quality, integrity, completeness, and reconciliation issues.
  • Support data cleansing, enrichment, and remediation activities.
  • Recommend and coordinate improvements to data quality and governance processes.
  • Participate in data workshops with subsidiaries and international entities to align data structures and standards.

Business Analysis & Documentation

  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
  • Finalise functional specification documents, including:
  • Business Rules
  • Data Mapping
  • Business Logic
  • Reconciliation Rules

• Exception Handling Rules

  • Completeness Controls
  • Support vendors in documenting and validating business rules.
  • Document existing processes and recommend process improvements.

Testing & Validation

  • Define entry and exit criteria for SIT and UAT phases.
  • Participate in the creation of test scenarios and test scripts.
  • Validate testing outcomes across:
  • Data Quality
  • Reconciliation
  • Completeness
  • Business Rules
  • Reports Validation

• Data Flow Controls

  • Adjustments and Exceptions
  • Support iterative testing cycles through to successful completion.

Implementation & Go-Live Support

  • Support integration activities with FIS Balance Sheet Manager.
  • Assist with go-live planning and execution.
  • Identify and resolve post-production issues.
  • Support reporting development and validation activities.

Required Experience

  • 15–20+ years of experience within Banking, Financial Services, or Risk Transformation environments.
  • Strong domain expertise within Risk Management, Risk Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, or Finance Transformation.
  • Proven experience working on large-scale data transformation, governance, or risk programmes.
  • Deep understanding of Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Mapping.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with FIS Balance Sheet Manager (highly desirable).
  • Exposure to Basel, regulatory reporting, or enterprise risk programmes.
  • Experience supporting SIT, UAT, and production deployments.
  • Experience working with multinational banking groups and subsidiary data integration initiative
