We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Backend Engineer to work on a contract basis.
This role involves applying expertise to help train next-generation AI systems, shaping how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input.
The successful candidate will be part of a global network of experts contributing to the development of frontier AI models.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that meet demanding performance requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business needs into technical specifications and impactful backend solutions.
- Optimize backend systems for reliability, security, and efficiency, ensuring seamless user experiences.
- Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, adhering to best engineering practices.
- Participate actively in code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing sessions with fellow engineers.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues in production environments, targeting root causes and implementing fixes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs using programming languages like Java, Python, or C++.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications and impactful backend solutions.
- Strong understanding of backend systems, including security, reliability, and efficiency, with a focus on ensuring seamless user experiences.
- Expertise in writing clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, adhering to best engineering practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues in production environments.
