Backend Engineer role based in Dubai, with a stated duration of six months and possible extension.

Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop REST and/or GraphQL APIs and microservices using Python FastAPI/Flask and Node.js Express.js.
- Build video-metadata processing and event-driven systems.
- Design and optimize schemas across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, TimescaleDB, and Redis for efficient retrieval and storage.
- Build message-broker pipelines using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Implement JWT/OAuth authentication and API security best practices.
- Optimize API performance, resolve bottlenecks, and implement caching.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerize with Docker, and orchestrate with Kubernetes.
- Integrate backend services with AI/ML components and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Five years of experience.
- Architect, design, and develop REST and/or GraphQL APIs and microservices using Python FastAPI/Flask and Node.js Express.js.
- Experience building video-metadata processing and event-driven systems.
- Design and optimize schemas across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, TimescaleDB, and Redis.

- Optimize API latency and throughput, resolve bottlenecks, and implement caching.
