Backend Engineer

Role overview

Backend development

• Build and maintain Python FastAPI REST APIs across orders, shipping, billing, and inventory modules.
• Write maintainable service-layer code and develop scheduled jobs and asynchronous workflows.
• Write and optimize MySQL queries for operational and reporting data.

Integrations and production support

• Integrate carriers, marketplaces, accounting tools, and other external systems; handle OAuth or API-key authentication.
• Debug webhook failures and synchronization issues, including inventory and tracking updates and billing calculations.
• Investigate API, database, and service issues; analyze logs, find root causes, implement fixes, and support real-time dependencies.

Technology stack

• Listed technologies include Python, FastAPI, MySQL on AWS RDS, Redis, AWS S3, RDS, ECS/EC2 and CloudWatch, Docker, and GitHub Actions.

Must-have qualifications

• 2–3 years of strong Python fundamentals.
• Experience with REST APIs and consuming external APIs; advanced SQL skills.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; familiarity with Git branching and pull-request workflows.
• Comfort working in a large, evolving codebase; able to work independently and communicate clearly.

Good-to-have qualifications

• Redis, AWS basics, and Docker are good to have, not mandatory.
• Exposure to e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Amazon, or NetSuite; logistics and shipping systems; or accounting tools such as QuickBooks is beneficial.

Location and workplace

• The role is located in Delhi and is explicitly on-site; work location is in person.

Pay and benefits

• Pay is ₹600,000–₹800,000 per year.
• Benefits include health insurance and Provident Fund.
