Azure Cloud Infrastructure Architect

About This Role

Job Description We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of cloud solutions built exclusively on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Azure services and infrastructure, with the ability to align cloud strategies with business objectives. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud environments while adhering to industry best practices and standards.

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:

1.    Cloud Infrastructure Design

• Architect and implement enterprise-grade Azure cloud infrastructure solutions to support business applications and workloads.
• Develop high-level and detailed Azure architecture blueprints for hybrid and cloud-native environments.
• Identify and recommend Azure tools, services, and methodologies to optimize operations.

2.    Cloud Deployment And Operations

• Lead cloud migration efforts, transitioning on-premises systems and applications to Azure.
• Design and manage Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions on Azure.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Azure DevOps, Terraform, or ARM templates.

3.    Security And Compliance

• Implement Azure security best practices, including network security, data encryption, and access management.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards, such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR.
• Manage identity and access control using Azure AD and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

4.    Monitoring And Optimization

• Set up Azure monitoring and logging systems using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Continuously evaluate and optimize performance, reliability, and cost of Azure resources.
• Establish disaster recovery and backup strategies using Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery.

5.    Collaboration And Leadership

• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Azure infrastructure and provide technical guidance to teams and stakeholders.
• Work closely with DevOps, engineering, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions.
• Deliver technical presentations and documentation for cloud strategies and solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, with at least 3 years focused on Azure solutions.
• Strong expertise in Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure Active Directory.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking (VNets, ExpressRoute, NSGs, Load Balancers, etc.).
• Experience with security and compliance standards, including Azure Policy and Azure Sentinel.

Preferred Skills       

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent certifications.

• Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and container orchestration.

• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
