About This Role

About the Role :

As an Avionics Software Development Engineer , you will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining safety‑critical embedded software for advanced aircraft systems. This position focuses on flight controls, navigation, and display systems for fixed‑wing platforms, with full involvement across the software development lifecycle in compliance with RTCA DO‑178C standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, integrate, debug, and validate embedded software on target simulators and real hardware
• Define, execute, and document software test procedures , including verification and validation activities
• Manage software anomalies and actively participate in design and code reviews , proposing corrective actions
• Develop robust and efficient software architectures aligned with safety and regulatory requirements (DO‑178C)
• Conduct Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) testing , troubleshoot issues, and ensure performance compliance
• Perform software design in compliant RTOS and Embedded Linux environments
• Provide technical expertise in Model‑Based Design , specifications, and avionics protocols such as MIL‑STD‑1553 and ARINC‑429
• Support proposal development, bids, and customer technical queries

Requirements & Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s Degree required (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred)
• 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, preferably in aerospace or avionics
• Proven experience with safety‑critical embedded systems , RTOS, and Model‑Based Design
• Strong knowledge of Embedded Linux environments
• Solid understanding of the theoretical and practical design of deterministic embedded systems
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
