Avionics Manufacturing Engineer (Harnessing)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, and optimize harnessing manufacturing processes.
• Work with harness design engineers on manufacturability, drawing reviews, and DFM/DFA.
• Own harness manufacturing work instructions and support production-floor technicians.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on quality and long-term reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues, find root causes, and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Support environmental and functional production testing.
• Improve production rate, yield, and cost, and ensure timely delivery to Integration.
• Monitor industry trends and technologies to drive manufacturing improvements.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of demonstrated harnessing manufacturing experience.

Preferred skills and experience

• A related master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 6 years of harness manufacturing experience for space applications is preferred.
• Space hardware development experience is preferred.
• Mechanical design proficiency using Siemens NX is preferred.
• DFM and continuous improvement experience for harnessing is preferred.

Compensation and benefits

• Structured salary information lists USD 100,000–205,000 yearly.
