Position summary

Responsibilities

• Implement, review, integrate, and document safety-related software.
• Implement safety mechanisms, diagnostics, monitoring, fault handling, and safe-state logic.
• Create detailed designs, production code, unit tests, and required analysis evidence.
• Apply defensive programming, coding guidelines, and freedom-from-interference controls.
• Perform tests, static analysis, structural coverage, and fault-injection support as applicable.
• Maintain traceability, resolve safety anomalies with documented impact analysis, and support controlled maintenance fixes.
• Provide release evidence and support safety-impact analysis.

Required background

• Experience with embedded C/C++, microcontrollers, AUTOSAR or RTOS, and debugging.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 Part 6 fundamentals, MISRA C/C++, unit testing, and static analysis.
• Knowledge of requirements traceability, configuration management, and Automotive SPICE.
• Understanding of watchdogs, memory protection, communication monitoring, and diagnostics.

Preferred competencies

• Model-based development, MC/DC, fault injection, safety analysis, and certified functional-safety training are preferred.
