Position Overview

As a Floor Coordinator for an automobile garage, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the garage floor.

Your primary responsibility will be to manage the activities of the automotive technicians and support staff, ensuring that the garage runs efficiently, customer service is exceptional, and all tasks are performed to high standards.

1. Team Management

  • Coordinate and lead a team of automotive technicians, mechanics, and support staff.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and expertise.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure optimal performance and professional growth.

2. Operational Efficiency

  • Plan and organize the daily workflow of the garage to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor work progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as the front desk and parts department, to streamline processes.

3. Quality Assurance

  • Maintain high-quality service standards by conducting regular quality checks on completed repairs and services.
  • Ensure that all work meets industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of completed repairs and services to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.
  • Establish and enforce strict quality control standards for all repair and maintenance work.

4. Customer Service

  • Interact with customers to understand their automotive service needs and address any concerns or inquiries.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining open communication and resolving issues promptly.

5. Technical Expertise

  • -Possess a strong understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair processes to provide technical guidance to the team.
  • Assist technicians in complex repair cases and ensure accurate diagnostics and effective solutions.

6. Training and Development

  • Identify training needs within the team and coordinate training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and advancements to facilitate continuous learning.

7. Inventory Management

  • Collaborate with the parts department to manage inventory levels of automotive parts and supplies.
  • Ensure that necessary tools and equipment are available for technicians to perform their tasks efficiently.

8. Safety Compliance

  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations to create a secure working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety awareness.

9. Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and customer interactions.
  • Generate reports on garage performance, including productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

10. Problem Solving

  • Address any technical challenges, conflicts, or issues that arise within the team or during the repair process.
  • Collaborate with management to find effective solutions and implement improvements.

Requirements

1.

Experience

5 years and above in similar job role

NB: UAE experience and Driving License is a must

2.

Significant experience in automotive repair and maintenance, with a demonstrated track record of supervisory or leadership roles.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.

Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.

Customer Focus: A customer-centric approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain a well-organized work environment.

Problem-Solving: Aptitude for troubleshooting technical issues and resolving conflicts.

Safety Awareness: In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and regulations within the automotive industry in UAE.

9.

Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs.

Technical Certification: Relevant certifications in automotive technology or management are preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in using computer systems for record-keeping and reporting.
