Responsibilities
- o Adhere to automation standards focused on DCS and PLCs.
- o Direct the modification, installation, maintenance, and repair of operations computers/PLC equipment and systems.
- o Evaluate and implement cost savings opportunities for equipment and facilities.
- o Investigate possible solutions to engineering problems, exercising innovation and engineering judgment to identify the optimum method or technique for automating the process.
- o Provide support for existing control systems platforms, such as developing and implementing system backup and restore procedures.
- o Be involved in hands-on calibration, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of plant breakdowns.
- o Ensure proper day-to-day scheduling of works and necessary resources, and assign and review work performed with staff.
- o Be responsible for programming and maintaining PLC software, including modification and customization.
- o Carry out programming and validation for the commissioning of new or modified equipment.
- o Provide automation support for process optimization.
- o Support instrumentation technicians and assist maintenance with technical issues.
- o Maintain appropriate documentation related to equipment maintenance, processes, and performance, and analyze it as appropriate to determine and capitalize on best practices.
- o Manage automation system accounts and system security strategy.
- o Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
Qualifications
- Education Required : bachelor’s degree in engineering or any similar discipline.
- Experience : Plus 3 years of experience in a similar function.
