• Are you detail-oriented and passionate about helping patients navigate the financial side of healthcare? We’re looking for a compassionate, caring, and dedicated Authorization Benefit Specialist I to join our team and help us continue our tradition of excellence.
• In this role, you’ll play an important part in ensuring patients receive the necessary authorization approvals for scheduled outpatient procedures. By working closely with physicians and healthcare teams, you’ll help support a seamless patient experience while protecting both patients and the organization from avoidable financial impacts.
• What You'll Do:
• Obtain pre-certifications for scheduled outpatient procedures to support timely care and accurate reimbursement. • Communicate professionally and courteously with physicians and healthcare partners regarding authorization requirements. • Review and process authorization-related information accurately and efficiently. • Utilize strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills to manage multiple priorities. • Support revenue cycle operations while helping ensure a positive patient experience.
• Education & Experience:
• Completion of High School or GED is required. • Two to four years of experience in a physician's office, hospital registration, collection agency, hospital or professional billing, or training at an educational institution that includes medical billing is required.
