Prepare audit plans, manage and execute audit engagements in the Industry Department, and support strategy and operational planning.
Help develop and monitor Operations, Compliance, and Performance Audit strategies to align with long-term objectives.
Audit leadership and delivery
- Prepare comprehensive audit programs and contribute to industry strategy and operational plans.
- Lead audits of targeted auditees, assessing service alignment with strategic plans and government priorities.
- Present audit reports, key findings, and short- and long-term risks at the conclusion of engagements.
- Lead follow-up and reporting on corrective actions with relevant departments.
- Resolve audit issues and escalate complex issues for analysis.
Stakeholders, research, and compliance
- Establish strategic partnerships, lead engagements, and manage stakeholders to optimize outcomes.
- Lead industry research, thought leadership, capability development, and market insights.
- Evaluate the effect of regulatory and standards changes on the audit plan.
- Monitor local and international laws affecting compliance and risk management and propose ways to maintain compliance.
Team guidance
- Guide team members to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant work; coach and train the audit team and develop its capabilities.
- Build sector or technical expertise to support increasingly complex audits.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Expertise in customs operations auditing and internal audit experience in customs.
- Proven audit-management experience; industry-sector experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CIA, or CA is preferred.
