A recruitment partner is representing a UAE-based mid-tier accountancy practice for an Audit Director opportunity.
The opportunity is open to UK and UAE residents.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives with leadership to support business growth.
- Build public-sector market presence and strengthen the practice's brand and reputation.
- Work toward Responsible Individual status and sign off audits as appropriate.
- Oversee the audit team and portfolio, supporting effective delivery and performance.
- Build business-development networks and manage key client relationships across the public-sector portfolio.
- Agree and negotiate engagement fees to meet commercial objectives.
Skills and experience
- At least 10 years of external audit experience at a leading international accountancy firm.
- ACA, ACCA, or CPA qualification and extensive post-qualification audit experience.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, internal controls, consolidated financial statements, and relevant regulatory and professional standards.
- Established UAE public-sector client network; fluency in Arabic and strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Leadership experience, commercial acumen, and experience managing large-scale audits, complex group engagements, and technical accounting matters.
- Track record of developing talent and fostering collaborative, high-performing teams.
