Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Audio Visual Technician role based in Dubai.
The Audio Visual Technician will install, configure, and maintain AV systems, including projectors, displays, speakers, microphones, lighting, and control systems in corporate, education, retail, and residential environments.
The role involves setting up and supporting video conferencing solutions, performing system checks before events and meetings, and providing real-time technical support during live sessions.
The technician will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, conduct routine preventive maintenance, and document configurations, test results, and service activities.
The role also includes collaborating with project managers and engineers on AV deployments, ensuring work follows safety and quality standards, and offering user training on AV equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Audio Visual (AV) Systems, including installation, configuration, and basic programming of displays, audio processors, controllers, and signal routing devices.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting AV hardware and software issues, with the ability to diagnose faults, perform repairs or adjustments, and minimize system downtime.
- Experience setting up and supporting Video Conferencing platforms and related peripherals, ensuring stable connectivity, audio clarity, and high-quality video.
- Hands-on experience with Lighting systems for events and installations, including basic programming, control, and integration with AV equipment.
- Practical experience working with Projectors, including mounting, alignment, calibration, lens adjustments, and maintenance.
- Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams, and familiarity with low-voltage cabling, rack building, and safe equipment handling.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to work on-site in Dubai, manage time effectively, and support flexible hours or occasional overtime for events and installations.
