Audio-Visual (AV) Consultant

Overview

AV Systems Design & Consultation

• Lead the design and specification of audio, video, and control systems for large venues, stadiums, arenas, and multipurpose facilities
• Develop acoustic modeling using EASE/Sound vision for loudspeaker coverage, intelligibility, and system optimization
• Design and integrate giant LED screens, scoreboards, ribbon boards, and control room displays
• Develop timing & scoring solutions with seamless integration across AV systems, displays, and broadcast networks
• Design IP-networked AV systems — audio-over-IP, video-over-IP, and control system integration with IT infrastructure
• Produce detailed documentation: schematics, signal flow diagrams, loudspeaker layouts, LED positioning, and network diagrams
• Ensure all designs meet scalability, redundancy, and lifecycle management requirements

Project Management & Coordination

• Coordinate with engineers, IT teams, and venue operators to ensure compliance with technical, operational, and budget requirements.
• Oversee commissioning, tuning, and final verification of AV systems
• Manage site surveys and performance validation for acoustic, video, and networked AV systems
• Coordinate with vendors, integrators, and venue teams to achieve design intent.

Experience

• Mini
• mum 10 y
• ears of professional AV consulting/design experience, including large venues, stadiums, arenas, or corporate campuses.
• Proven experience in LED video display systems, giant scoreboards, timing & scoring solutions, and videowall design
• Demonstrated portfolio of large-scale AV project delivery (design through commissioning)

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, Audio Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Certifications (Preferred)

• AVIXA: CTS, CTS-D, or

• CTS-I Dante Level 3

• Certification Manufacturer certifications — L-Acoustics, Bosch, Bose, Meyer Sound, Daktronics, Infiled , Novastar, Q-SYS, Extron
• (any combination)

Technical

• Skills Proven expertise in EASE/Sound vision acoustic modeling.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking for AV — configuration, routing, and integration with IT infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of project lifecycle management for large-scale AV projects.
• Excellent technical documentation, presentation, and client communication skills.
