Associate - Urban Designer

Role overview

Project design and delivery

• Lead urban design projects from concept to completion and develop master plans, detailed designs, and urban frameworks at various scales.
• Work with architects, planners, engineers, and other specialists to create integrated solutions.
• Manage project teams and align delivery with client objectives, timelines, and budgets.
• Prepare and present masterplan concepts, design reports, and visual materials to clients and stakeholders.

Technical leadership and engagement

• Provide expertise in land use planning, urban regeneration, and sustainable design practices.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance policies, project delivery standards, and local regulations.
• Guide and mentor junior designers and CAD technicians.
• Engage clients, government authorities, and other stakeholders to align projects and obtain approvals.
• Use BIM, SketchUp, Rhino, and Revizto for design and visualization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in urban design, site planning, or master planning.
• Strong knowledge of urban design principles, spatial analysis, and site-planning methodologies.
• Upload an updated portfolio with the application.

Onboarding

• New hires are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location. This does not specify the ongoing workplace arrangement.
