Associate-Restructuring / Leveraged Finance - Corporate & Investment banking - New York, New York, United States

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to prepare, review and analyze all aspects of a financing, including detailed financial modeling, due diligence process, credit analysis, credit approval process and marketing process for non-investment grade corporate creditsSupport in the management, analysis and negotiations of restructurings, bankruptcies, distress M&A and distressed sale processes with internal and external partiesActively support in the execution of hedging strategies across the book including CDS, Insurance and SRT protectionAssist in the monitoring of portfolio companies post-closing and identify investment ideas for new origination opportunities for investment banking products and servicesPrepare and present opinions for new deals as well as for memos on all distressed transactionsPerform portfolio level analysis across the corporate book for senior managementEngage with management teams on diligence requests and lender questionsCoordinating with internal investment banking partners on transactions for new deal originationProfile requiredSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:REQUIRED:Deal experience underwriting LBOs within a Leveraged Finance teamExperience with three-statement financial modeling, including detailed operating builds and capital structure scenariosKnowledge of corporate finance valuation and financial accounting conceptsFormal credit training and experience conducting credit analysisExperience working on restructurings and bankruptcy proceedingsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated work ethic, positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to multi-taskProficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and WordPRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE:4-6 years of investment banking, credit analysis, restructuring experienceEDUCATION:Bachelors Degree from a top-tier university (preferably in Economics, Accounting, or Finance)Why join usBusiness insightSociete Generale is committed to offering an inclusive recruitment experience to all candidates.
