Role overview

Accountabilities

• Prepare reports on company financial results, industry trends, and investment ideas, including writing, editing, quality control, tables, exhibits, and final production.
• Input and manipulate financial-model data and create exhibits for publication and analysis.
• Conduct primary research using industry and financial sources.
• Track industry trends to support investment idea generation.
• Liaise with company executives about business operations and updates.
• Prepare and maintain marketing presentations.
• Coordinate with sales, trading, and other firm areas within regulatory guidelines.
• Present to executives and other stakeholders.

Skills, experience, and requirements

• University degree in finance, business, economics, accounting, or a similar field; technical engineering, geosciences, or natural resource management degrees are also considered.
• Two to five years in capital markets, related financial services, or an energy or energy services company is preferred.
• CFA program completion or eligibility to enroll is preferred.
• Strong accounting, financial modeling, technical, and writing skills; high proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Intermediate Excel or higher, including XLOOKUP or VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and SUMIFS or COUNTIFS.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and to tight deadlines while handling multiple projects.
• Geoscout experience is an asset.
