Role description

Teaching and academic duties

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in finance and related disciplines; prepare and deliver lectures, seminars, and workshops.
• Develop course materials and assessments aligned with programme objectives.
• Conduct original research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and present findings at academic conferences.
• Supervise student projects and theses and mentor students from varied backgrounds.
• Participate in curriculum development, accreditation activities, and departmental and university committees.
• Engage with industry partners, support collaborative projects, and promote the university’s academic reputation in the region.

Qualifications and experience

• Strong Finance and Corporate Finance expertise with a record of teaching and scholarship.
• A solid foundation in Economics and ability to integrate economic theory into finance courses and research.
• Proficiency in Accounting concepts relevant to financial analysis and corporate decision-making.
• Research skills in quantitative and/or qualitative methods, academic publishing, and conference presentations.
• Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a closely related field.
• Prior university-level teaching experience with evidence of effective pedagogy and curriculum development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are an asset.
• Ability to collaborate in a diverse international academic environment and mentor students from varied backgrounds.
• Experience with modern teaching technologies, learning management systems, and innovative instructional methods.
• Ongoing professional development and engagement with finance or economics industry partners or professional associations.
