Associate Field Engineer

Qualifications

• ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS – TRAVEL (ESSENTIAL FUNCTION):
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively is a core and essential requirement of this role.
• Travel may include driving long distances, travel by commercial aircraft, public transportation (including trains and other mass transit systems), or other locally approved transportation methods, where legally permitted and authorized by company policy.
• Field Engineers may be required to travel up to approximately 60,000 kilometers (37,000 miles) per year using one or more of the transportation modes listed above.
• Where driving is required, the employee must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet all legal, insurance, and medical requirements to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Where essential duties require air travel (e.g., inspections in remote locations, meetings, training, or company events), the employee must be able and willing to travel by commercial aircraft.
• Inability to meet essential travel requirements may impact the employee’s ability to continue in the Field Engineer role. The company will consider reasonable accommodations or alternative roles, in accordance with applicable law, consultation requirements, and company policy.
• Must be compliant with any company driver program.
• HOME LOCATION REQUIREMENT:
• The employee’s designated home address must be located within the assigned service territory.
• Home location is a material condition of employment and is established to optimize travel efficiency, response times, and customer service effectiveness.
• Relocation outside the approved territory (including moves of approximately 50 km / 31 miles or more) must be approved in advance by manager and HR in writing.
• Unauthorized relocation may result in reassignment, territory adjustment, or other employment actions in accordance with company policy.

• HIRE-IN
• Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary vocational education diploma in a relevant Technical Discipline (such as Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology or Physics but not limited to these disciplines only) or equivalent experience.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and local language
• Valid Driving license with good driving records where applicable.
