Role Description
The Associate will work full time on-site at the firm’s office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, supporting litigation and advisory matters across criminal, civil, corporate, personal status and commercial practice areas.
Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting legal pleadings, memoranda, contracts, and opinions; conducting legal research on UAE laws and regulations; and preparing case files, evidence bundles, and hearing notes for court and arbitral proceedings.
The Associate will attend client meetings, assist in strategy development, coordinate with external stakeholders (including experts, counterparties, and authorities), and contribute to detailed case analysis for complex and cross-border matters.
The role also involves reviewing and interpreting regulatory developments, assisting in negotiations and settlement discussions, and maintaining high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy in all client work.
Qualifications
- Strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills, with the ability to prepare clear and well-structured pleadings, contracts, and legal opinions.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in criminal law, white-collar crime, civil litigation, personal affairs, and commercial disputes, preferably within the UAE or GCC region.
- Familiarity with UAE laws, court procedures, and regulatory frameworks, and the ability to navigate multi-jurisdictional or cross-border legal issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language proficiency is highly advantageous.
- High level of discretion, integrity, and client-service orientation, with the capacity to handle sensitive and confidential matters.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple cases, tight deadlines, and detailed documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small, high-performing team, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law
