Overview

  • The Associate Director, Sovereign and Strategic Partnerships is responsible for positioning ADGM as the jurisdiction of choice by developing and promoting service offerings and value propositions that foster business growth and enhance ADGM’s ecosystem.
  • This division plays a key role in cementing ADGM’s position as a global platform that connects quality capital with business opportunities, establishing ADGM as a trusted partner to Sovereign Wealth Funds, Government Institutions, and high-value strategic partners, and serving as a gateway to key industries.
  • Additionally, the role is responsible to manage the implementation of strategic goals by setting and monitoring plans and objectives aligned with the broader vision of the Leadership of the Emirates of Abu Dhabi.
  • This includes supporting the economic diversification and growth of Abu Dhabi, particularly through the development of the Falcon Economy, in line with the leadership's vision for sustainable economic growth.
  • Strategic Responsibilities
  • Lead, nurture, and elevate strategic partnerships with key AD institutions, including Sovereign Institutions, Government Relationships, Banking Relationships, and Strategic Partnerships, to enhance ADGM’s position as a global leader
  • Co-develop and drive the division strategy alongside the Division Lead, ensuring alignment with long-term growth objectives and market positioning, while actively contributing to ADGM’s overall strategic direction
  • Drive lead generation and anchor relationships to support Strategic Client Acquisition efforts across ADGM
  • Support the continuous development and refinement of the SRM strategy, ensuring it remains in line with ADGM’s broader goals, and delivering impactful solutions that drive organizational success
  • Manage and cultivate high-level relationships with sovereigns and strategic partners, ensuring sustained engagement and growth within ADGM’s ecosystem, and positioning ADGM as a trusted partner in global markets
  • Build and strengthen internal relationships with key ADGM stakeholders, facilitating seamless cross-functional collaboration and enhancing connections with strategic institutions in Abu Dhabi
  • Institutionalize impactful programs with Sovereign & Strategic Partnerships, including coordinating outreach initiatives, identifying high-potential strategic clusters, and facilitating market entry and retention strategies for ADGM clients
  • Drive Abu Dhabi’s growth and diversification agenda, leveraging ADGM’s ecosystem to attract investments, promote business growth, and strengthen trade relations both locally and internationally
  • Monitor competitive landscapes and market trends, proactively identifying and proposing initiatives to expand ADGM’s reach into new markets while enhancing business within existing sectors, ensuring ADGM remains at the forefront of global financial centers
  • Lead the execution of ADGM’s Markets Strategy by driving SSPs initiatives, ensuring both short-term and long-term objectives are in place to drive growth, while supporting the mission of Abu Dhabi Global Market
  • Oversee the development of market strategies and go-to-market plans, contributing to the creation of new products and services, and ensuring all offerings are aligned with ADGM’s strategic priorities
  • Maintain and expand relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, facilitating the growth of ADGM across targeted sectors and institutions, and ensuring sustained success in the global market
  • Operational Responsibilities
  • Lead the analysis and targeting of key markets/industries/sectors jointly with Strategic Client Acquisition, driving high-impact and efficient ADGM commercial development strategies
  • Jointly with SCA, spearhead the development of tailored ADGM offerings and value propositions across targeted sectors, ensuring alignment with both market trends and ADGM's long-term goals
  • Identify and propose initiatives to strengthen ADGM's positioning as a leading IFC, fostering direct business growth for ADGM and enhancing business opportunities for ADGM clients in targeted sectors
  • Lead the scoping and structuring of development projects, identifying key partners and stakeholders, managing budgets, and defining KPIs, timelines, and deliverables for successful project execution
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives in alignment with ADGM's overall strategy, including close collaboration with Market Development teams to ensure seamless initiative execution and cross-functional alignment
  • Support the continuous development, evaluation, and refinement of sector strategies, with a focus on identifying new markets, high-value client accounts, and growth opportunities
  • Ensure alignment with ADGM’s core value proposition and leverage synergies within the existing ecosystem to drive market differentiation and long-term growth
