Role overview

Core responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for platform resilience, transformation, and uplift.
• Own Trino and Starburst stability, performance, upgrades, standards, and tenant consumption.
• Lead tenant onboarding across infrastructure, ingestion, ETL, and CI/CD.
• Resolve complex issues across network, ingestion, ETL, and consumption layers.
• Maintain platform controls as ITSO delegate.
• Drive release governance, production readiness, modernization, and evergreening.
• Increase automation and reduce operational toil.
• Guide engineers and coordinate partner teams across the pod.

Required experience

• Production stability ownership in a regulated enterprise is required.
• Distributed query or consumption platform experience, ideally Trino or Starburst, is required.
• CI/CD, automation, multi-tenant platform, Linux or UNIX, networking, and DevSecOps experience are required.
• The role requires advanced troubleshooting and cross-team technical triage leadership.
• Clear communication, ownership, prioritization, collaboration, and stakeholder management are required.

Preferred experience

• Resilience, RTO/RPO, failover, recovery automation, and testing experience is preferred.
• High-availability JupyterHub or similar user environment experience is preferred.
• Large-scale vulnerability remediation and evergreening experience is preferred.
• Monitoring, orchestration, secrets management, certificate renewal, and key rotation familiarity is preferred.
