Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead an electrical project portfolio or major programme, overseeing quality, delivery, client outcomes, and commercial results.
• Set delivery and assurance arrangements; assign responsibilities and align reviews with complexity and risk.
• Direct complex electrical strategies and significant technical decisions; oversee technical, regulatory, and delivery risks.
• Lead workforce and resource planning; manage forecasts, fee performance, resourcing costs, and commercial exposure.
• Develop strategic client relationships, resolve escalated issues, and lead significant bids and fee proposals.
• Embed sustainability, resilience, maintainability, adaptability, and whole-life value in project strategies and reviews.
• Coach and develop Associates and Senior Engineers, plan succession, and manage performance.
• Coordinate across disciplines and regions; sponsor improvements in technical standards, digital engineering, assurance, and lessons learned.

Skills and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline appropriate to professional registration.
• Demonstrated leadership of a substantial engineering team, complex portfolio, or major multidisciplinary programme.
• Strong technical judgement across electrical building services systems; experience in technical assurance and delivery oversight.
• Capability in portfolio forecasting, fee development, resource planning, commercial recovery, client relationships, bids, and negotiations.
• Understanding of Saudi delivery conditions, regulatory interfaces, and authority requirements.
• Ability to evaluate digital workflows, technical capability, and design review effectiveness; evidence of developing leaders and planning succession.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent recognised professional registration.
• Membership of the IET, CIBSE, or an equivalent recognised professional institution.
• Relevant leadership, commercial management, and technical governance development; specialist accreditation is desirable where relevant.
• Saudi Council of Engineers registration or accreditation appropriate to the activities undertaken, where required.
