Your role
Wind River, an Aptiv company, is seeking an Associate Cloud Engineer to contribute to StarlingX development and testing for the Wind River Cloud Platform.
Work with cloud-native and open-source technologies in distributed edge computing environments.
Contribute to software development, testing, automation, and continuous product improvements for embedded and mission-critical software.
Roles and responsibilities
- Help develop and test StarlingX for the Wind River Cloud Platform.
- Support test execution and automation while building product and technology knowledge.
- Improve product features, engineering processes, and development practices.
- Contribute ideas for product improvements and future iterations.
- Collaborate with globally distributed software engineering teams.
Your background
- BE/BTech, ME/MTech, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Good C and C++ programming skills, RTOS fundamentals, and object-oriented programming knowledge.
- Understanding of embedded systems, software modules, and driver- or board-level system software testing and integration.
- Experience or familiarity with automation, software testing, debugging, and embedded technologies.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python; strong analytical and debugging capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to collaborate across global teams.
- Interest or experience using AI tools or practices to improve engineering productivity.
Compensation
- Compensation is CAD $65,000–$80,000 plus an annual incentive plan bonus.
