Overview
The Associate Clinical Nutritionist provides support with nutritional care to patients in a clinical setting which includes but is not limited to assisting with: the development of individualized meal plans for patients, medical nutrition therapy, monitoring patient compliance with physician recommendations and patient education and counseling in order to optimize patients' health and well.-being through evidence.-based nutrition interventions.
Operational Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments of patients including evaluating their medical history dietary intake anthropometric measurements and lab results
- Develop and implement evidencebased nutrition care plans to address patients nutritional needs and support their medical treatment
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare providers to coordinate the delivery of nutrition care
- Works under the supervision of more experienced clinical nutrition professionals
