Associate Business Analyst Accounting

Role purpose

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, schedules, and data request responses for internal and external use.
• Respond to accounting questions and problems; coordinate information with other departments and affiliates.
• Assist with accounting and cross-department special projects; prepare accurate journal entries and perform account reconciliations and analyses.
• Follow internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for accounting and financial systems.
• Provide accounting support and analysis to operating personnel and management, supporting timely and accurate reporting.
• Follow applicable compliance requirements, policies, codes, and regulations, and perform related duties as assigned.

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field and 0 to 2 years of experience.
• If the degree is in a related field, college-level accounting coursework required for Nevada CPAs is required.

Knowledge and skills

• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting theory and GAAP.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, problem-solving, research, communication, analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with others.
• Equipment and applications include PCs, financial spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and accounting software.

Work environment

• General office environment with consistent workload levels during the month.
• No special physical demands are required.
