Key responsibilities
- Build relationships with senior central and state government officials and bureaucrats across education and skilling.
- Drive evidence-backed policy advocacy in education, skilling, and TVET; represent the organization in discussions with ministries, Sector Skill Councils, industry bodies, employers, and other stakeholders.
- Understand government priorities, decision cycles, and policy environments and align organizational efforts accordingly.
- Publish articles communicating impact and insights from the organization's skilling work.
- Identify growth opportunities across central and state governments and thematic areas; co-develop program designs, proposals, and partnership models with leadership.
- Lead impact measurement, reporting, and documentation focused on education, skilling, placement, wage, and employability outcomes.
- Engage ecosystem organizations to broaden policy recommendations and drive adoption; communicate progress and impact to government and internal leadership.
- Work through ambiguity, chart a course forward, and manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications
- MBA, master's in Public Policy, or related field.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in management consulting, public policy, project management, or government engagement; government engagement experience is mandatory.
- Strong exposure to government ecosystems in education and/or skilling, vocational education, or workforce development.
- Essential experience advising and managing relationships with senior bureaucrats at Secretary or Joint Secretary level in central government, or Principal Secretary level and above in state government.
- Experience leveraging technology products for social impact or developing technology products or DPGs.
- Experience driving data-backed advocacy with senior ecosystem stakeholders and leading teams and complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
- Requires strategic thinking, strong execution, ownership, adaptability in ambiguity, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative leadership style.
