Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Dubai for an Assistant Underwriter.
The Assistant Underwriter will support underwriting teams in evaluating and analyzing insurance applications, assess risk factors, and prepare reports that inform decision-making.
Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering and reviewing client information, assisting in policy renewals, liaising with brokers and insurers, and ensuring compliance with industry and organizational guidelines.
This role offers an opportunity to contribute actively to the reinsurance process in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and data evaluation skills, with attention to detail and risk assessment capabilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with brokers, insurers, and internal teams
- Proficiency in using underwriting tools, software, and general computer applications like MS Office
- Working knowledge of insurance principles, reinsurance contracts, and industry best practices
- Prior experience in underwriting, risk analysis, or insurance is an advantage
- Strong organization and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Commitment to continued learning and development within reinsurance and underwriting
- Efficiently manage the registration and documentation processes by accurately inputting offers and slips into the system, ensuring data integrity and adherence to established procedures.
- Initiate and maintain effective follow-up procedures for accepted offers to ensure timely execution, delivery, and registration of documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field
- Immediate Joiner
- 1 to 4 years experience in reinsurance industry
