Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with loading bay and lorry handling procedures.
  • Ability to operate basic material‐handling equipment (e.g., forklift).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer literacy for record‐keeping and communication.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in shipping.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record shift movements within the loading bay.
  • Coordinate arrival and departure of lorries.
  • Supervise loading and unloading of goods from lorries.
  • Communicate loading schedules and requirements to transporters.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
  • Maintain accurate logs of lorry movements and cargo handling.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documents and paperwork.
  • Conduct pre‐ and post‐operation inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Resolve any on‐site issues or delays promptly.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized loading area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.
