Assistant Resident Engineer – Road Works

Role Overview

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in road works and infrastructure projects.
• MME certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of road construction, utilities, earthworks, drainage, pavement, and related infrastructure works.
• Experience in site supervision, contractor coordination, inspections, quality control, and progress monitoring.
• Good knowledge of Qatar standards, PWA/Ashghal specifications, and project requirements.
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work with the Consultant, Contractor, Client, and project stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• PWA/Ashghal-approved Assistant Resident Engineer experience is highly preferred.
• Previous experience on PWA/Ashghal road and infrastructure projects is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor road construction and infrastructure works against approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate contractors and relevant project stakeholders on site activities.
• Monitor progress, quality, and compliance with method statements and inspection procedures.
• Review and coordinate technical submissions, inspections, and site documentation.
• Identify and report construction issues and follow up on corrective actions.
• Assist the Resident Engineer with quality, safety, schedule, and contractual delivery requirements.
