Assistant Resident Engineer - MEP

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Support the Resident Engineer with day-to-day supervision of MEP works for stormwater pump stations.
• Monitor installation of pumps, piping, valves, electrical equipment, controls, and instrumentation against approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Review contractor method statements, ITPs, shop drawings, and material submittals; follow up on closures.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning, and support handover documentation and required permits and approvals.
• Monitor progress and quality, manage NCRs and technical queries, and support reporting and site coordination with stakeholders.

Required qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with strong infrastructure project exposure.
• Strong knowledge of stormwater pump station systems, testing and commissioning processes, and construction supervision practices.
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.

Desired experience

• Experience supervising pump station upgrade or retrofit works while maintaining operational interfaces.
• Familiarity with local authority permit and handover requirements and close-out documentation, including as-builts, O&M manuals, and commissioning records.
• Exposure to instrumentation, controls, and SCADA systems.
