Assistant Resident Engineer (Irrigation/Landscape)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Evaluate landscape, hardscape, and irrigation technical design packages and provide comments.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and other engineering submittals.
• Prepare reports, manuals, and guidelines on landscape and hardscape issues.
• Support construction supervision and oversee landscape and hardscape works as a client representative.
• Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, engineers, MEP, architects, and other disciplines.
• Attend landscape and HSSE meetings, follow site safety protocols, and support asset handover.
• Contribute to reports, review documents promptly, and alert the team to potential delays.
• Provide on-site direction and assist with site instructions for landscape, hardscape, and irrigation works.
• Measure and record work progress, verify as-built drawings, inspect works, and recommend aesthetic improvements.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture/Architecture Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• UAE Ministry of Education equivalency certificate is required.
• At least 10 years of parks and landscape project construction, operation, and maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in hardscape detailing, including external finishes, level changes, walls, minor structures, drainage, and water features.
• Proficiency in softscape/hardscape detailing, plant materials, planting medium, site preparation, contours, grading, and horticultural installation practices.

Desired qualifications

• Good communication and coordination skills are desired.
• ADM approval is preferred; GCC experience and Arabic speaking are preferable.
