Assistant Resident Engineer - Civil (UAE National)

Role overview

Role scope

• Manage site works for infrastructure construction, sewage treatment plants, and pumping stations across disciplines.
• Make on-the-spot decisions and coordinate with service authorities.
• Monitor progress under Dubai Municipality guidelines and manage consultant staff inspection activities.
• Check actual work against planned work and the construction programme using quality assurance, quantity surveying, and project network techniques.
• Prepare instructions, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Liaise with Dubai Municipality and other infrastructure authorities.

Qualifications and experience

• Relevant degree from a recognized university.
• At least 10–12 years of experience in infrastructure works.
• Full and complete knowledge of existing infrastructure in Dubai.
• Experience managing site works for construction, sewage treatment plants, and pumping stations across different disciplines.
• Thorough knowledge and experience in infrastructure design.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality guidelines and inspection management.

Technical and professional skills

• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Primavera P3.
• Excellent written and communication skills in English, time management, and supervisory skills.
• Ability to prepare instructions, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Ability to make decisions and liaise with infrastructure authorities.
