Assistant Psychologist (Emirati)

Overview

• Assistant psychologists will work under the guidance of a qualified psychologist to support patients and clients in various settings.
• Typical duties include:
• **Clinical Support**: Assisting with psychological assessments, interventions, and therapy sessions, including individual and group work, and supporting patients with mental health conditions or neurodivergent needs such as ADHD or autism Health Careers+1.
• **Administration and Data Management**: Maintaining clinical databases, collecting and inputting outcome data, scoring psychometric assessments, drafting reports, letters, and summaries, and assisting with audits and research projects nhs.scot+1.
• **Research and Development**: Supporting research initiatives, preparing materials for clinical use, and contributing to service evaluation and development nhs.scot+1.
• **Team Collaboration**: Working as part of a multidisciplinary team that may include clinical, counselling, occupational therapists, speech therapist, and psychiatrists.
• **Professional Development**: Engaging in supervision, self-reflection, and feedback to develop professional knowledge and skills, often as a stepping-stone toward becoming a licensed Psychologist
