Duties and responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a safe, engaging culture focused on student learning.
- Model all aspects of the Classroom Framework of Instructional Practice.
- Build relationships with teachers and invest in staff professional success.
- Coach teachers toward instructional mastery with differentiated ongoing support.
- Manage teacher development and accountability through observations, goal setting, and coaching.
- Analyze student, class, and wing data to guide instruction, student growth, and professional development.
- Promote and reinforce NHA and school procedures, including behavioral systems and Moral Focus.
- Manage parent relationships; participate in recruitment and onboarding for direct reports.
- Administer annual evaluations and lead wing PLC meetings using data and state standards.
- Occasional travel is required; additional duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
- College diploma (BA or equivalent) or higher in Education or a related field.
- School administrator licensure is required in states where applicable; a valid administrator license is required if applicable in the state of application.
- Three to five years of teaching experience and previous school leadership experience are preferred.
- Experience working with at-risk students is strongly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal skills, self-motivation, project follow-through, and highly developed interpersonal skills.
