Role Description
This is a contract role for an
Assistant Manager Finance
for one of our client's based in
Abu Dhabi.
The role involves day-to-day responsibilities like preparing financial statements, IFRS accounting papers, hedge accounting, dealing with banks for project finance, ensuring accurate financial reporting, performing financial analysis, and collaborating with various departments for data consolidation.
Industry exposure:
power & water, utilities
, infrastructure concessions, construction, oil & gas, dealing with lenders (project finance), loan drawdowns, repayments, debt service coverage ratios, etc
• IFRS Accounting Papers
- Dealing with banks for Project finance and relationship management
- Accounting and book-keeping, monthly closing
- Preparing financial statements compliant with IFRS
- Performing various financial analyses, reconciliations
- Processing invoices and timely payments in accordance with policy accounts payable management (PO, bank payments)
- financial reporting, ERP/ MIS reporting packages etc
- ERP, Advanced excel
- coordination with auditors
- budgeting and forecasting
- cash management, treasury
- VAT/ tax returns
- **Experience with IFRIC 12, IFRS 9, hedge effectiveness testing**
Location
The position is on-site and based in Abu Dhabi.
Project duration:
6 months (extendable up-to 12 months)
Qualifications and experience
- Strong IFRS expertise
- Strong Financial Planning and Finance skills
• Proven Analytical Skills
- Experience in consolidated financial Reporting for international MNC's
- Excellent Communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- **Relevant certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA or CFA**
- **Big 4 experience must**
- **5+ years**
- of experience in similar role with large MNC's and Group companies
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
