Job Description

To ensure that all installation, maintenance, and operational activities are executed in compliance with QHSE standards, project specifications, and approved international standards while enhancing technical excellence, reducing MTBC, and supporting operations through training, technical support, and quality assurance prior to handover.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic
  • Develop and implement the overall QHSE & Technical Excellence strategy aligned with company objectives.
  • Establish the Technical Excellence Centre as a core function to support operational performance and reliability.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including MTBC, quality, safety performance, and defect-Free Handover.
  • Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Ensure alignment with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Operational
  • Oversee implementation of QHSE policies, procedures, and compliance requirements across all projects.
  • Provide technical support (on-site and remote/online) to maintenance and installation teams.
  • Ensure quality control inspections and testing are completed prior to handover to clients.
  • Support operations in troubleshooting, fault analysis, and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Monitor equipment performance and lead actions to reduce MTBC and recurring breakdowns.
  • Ensure closure of NCRs and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • People Management
  • Lead and manage the QHSE Engineers, QA/QC Inspectors, and Technical Specialists/Trainers.
  • Develop and implement structured training and competency development programs for operational teams.
  • Conduct performance management, coaching, and continuous development of team members.
  • Promote strong safety culture and technical discipline across field teams.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and project teams to ensure alignment and support.
  • Process Improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on MTBC reduction, reliability, and service quality.
  • Analyze failures and conduct root cause analysis to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Standardize processes, procedures, and technical best practices across all projects.
  • Implement digital tools, remote diagnostics, and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Track and improve quality metrics including defect rates, callbacks, and handover performance.
  • Ensure lessons learned are captured and applied across the organization.

Educational Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / electrical engineering
  • NEBOSH Certification
  • Minimum 10+ years in elevator/escalator industry or similar
  • Strong experience in QHSE, quality control, and technical operations
