Assistant Manager Finance

Role description

Responsibilities

• Manage or review monthly and annual close and scrutinize general ledgers, balance sheets, accruals, provisions, prepayments, aged or unusual balances, and supporting schedules.
• Support standalone and consolidated financial statements, consolidation schedules, elimination entries, intercompany reconciliations, foreign currency translation, and disclosures.
• Apply IFRS consistently and support accounting assessments for revenue recognition, ECL or impairment, provisions, leases, and other accounting matters.
• Coordinate UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and other applicable tax and statutory compliance, including reconciliations, filings, and supporting documents.
• Coordinate statutory audits and tax matters with auditors, consultants, and local or remote finance teams; resolve queries promptly.
• Review intercompany transactions and balances, revenue, receivables, ageing, impairment assessments, and material accounting entries.
• Review monthly results, investigate significant variances, and strengthen controls, close processes, ERP or automation, and reporting quality.
