Assistant Manager – Engineering – Wild Wadi
Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager – Engineering to join Wild Wadi.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
• Support the Director of Engineering in leading the Engineering function and maintaining the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the waterpark’s facilities and equipment.
• Implement and manage Planned Preventative Maintenance and demand work-order systems, ensuring maintenance activities and supporting records are completed effectively.
• Lead, guide and develop engineering colleagues through training, performance management and the consistent application of safety and emergency procedures.
• Monitor departmental expenditure, energy consumption and operational performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and asset reliability.
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers and external contractors to address operational requirements and prevent unsafe conditions, disruption or loss of productivity.
• Maintain engineering records and support compliance with applicable company and municipal requirements, including fire, life and safety standards.

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of Engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial position.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in waterpark or theme park operations or management.
- University degree or diploma in a relevant field, together with an Engineering graduate qualification.
- Sound technical knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and electrical systems, with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, project management and communication skills, with strong written and spoken English.
