Assistant Manager - Cost Accounting

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead 10–15 cost accountants and leads, conduct monthly reviews with controllers, and drive department projects and cost accounting improvements.
• Apply revenue recognition policy, teach finance updates and accounting policies, and monitor and report site SOX checks.
• Review SOPs, validation checklists, reports, and journal entries; maintain SOX documentation and support internal and statutory audits.
• Monitor inventory reconciliation across sites, resolve mapping issues, and analyze causes of discrepancies.
• Train new joiners, recognize team performance, maintain low attrition, and balance workload for deadlines.
• Coordinate regional standardization with finance directors and controllers, prepare quarterly performance reports, and provide decision-support analytics.
• Use AI integration to improve processes, efficiency, costs, and innovation.

Experience and qualifications

• B.Com, M.Com, CA Inter, CMA Inter, or equivalent with relevant experience.
• 10–12 years of hands-on experience, including 4–5 years of people-management experience.
• Good written and oral communication, MS Office proficiency, and analytical and problem-solving skills.

Schedule

• The role requires flexibility for either an 8 AM–5 PM or 11 AM–8 PM day shift.
