About The Role

We are looking for a Assistant Manager

– Service Contracts

to lead, optimize, and execute our service procurement strategies.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between process plant requirements and commercial excellence—maximizing contract value, mitigating risks, and building robust vendor ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

  • **Category Strategy:**
  • Design and implement data-driven category strategies to reduce overall spend, drive service delivery improvements, and optimize our vendor base.
  • **End-to-End Contract Management:**
  • Develop vendor evaluation frameworks (OTIF & quality metrics), lead supplier rationalization programs, perform vendor audits, and negotiate highly favorable terms & conditions.
  • **Strategic Sourcing:**
  • Conduct deep market research on domestic and international service trends to build a reliable, diverse pool of suppliers for plant operations and capital projects.
  • **Negotiation & Execution:**
  • Formulate structured negotiation plans for complex technical and operational services to optimize commercial outcomes.
  • **Leadership & People Management:**
  • Mentor, coach, and cultivate a highly disciplined, ethical, and high-performing commercial team.
  • **Compliance & Safety:**
  • Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, IMS, and 3S standards across the department.

Job Specifications

  • **Education:**

Metallurgical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering

  • **Experience:**
  • 8–10 years of relevant procurement/service category management experience
  • specifically within a steel or ferroalloys plant environment

  • **Technical Skills:**
  • Hands-on expertise in

Erp (Sap And Oracle Mm Module)

  • , alongside a strong grasp of service market dynamics and price cyclicity.
  • **Soft Skills:**
  • Outstanding negotiation, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities coupled with strong leadership and team-management skills.
  • **Preferred Edge:**
  • An M.B.A. in Supply Chain Management or professional certifications (e.g., CPP) will give you a significant advantage.

Kpis

  • Achieving seamless service availability for production and capital projects as per the business plan.
  • Minimizing Indent-to-Work Order (WO) lead times (On-time WO release).
  • Maintaining a healthy ecosystem of a minimum of 3 qualified vendors per service category.
  • High contract renewal rates and strong internal stakeholder satisfaction.
