Assistant Manager-Civil

Role overview

What you’ll do

• Visit sites in India and overseas during pre-bid, construction, and O&M phases; prepare feasibility and assessment reports.
• Review geotechnical, topographical, and hydrological reports and propose suitable engineering solutions.
• Design civil structures and foundations for solar PV plants, BESS, and substations, including module mounting structures and transformer foundations.
• Prepare and review BOQs, design basis reports, specifications, QAPs, SOPs, and field quality plans.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project teams to resolve engineering and quality queries during construction.
• Review and modify civil drawings for mounting structures, roads, and drainage; advise O&M teams on practical, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BE, BTech, or MTech, full-time).
• 8 to 10 years of relevant power generation experience and strong expertise in solar PV project design and review.
• Hands-on EPC coordination, BOQ preparation, and design experience on overseas projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, L-Pile, Google Earth, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of relevant IS, IRC, ASCE, ISO, and BS standards; excellent English communication and strong organizational ability.
• BESS or wind energy project experience is an advantage; a proactive, results-driven mindset is expected.

Location and travel

• Position is based in Pune, India.
• Business travel within India and internationally is part of the role; work arrangement is not specified.
