Job Description
The Assistant Manager – Facility Management supports the overall operations, maintenance, and safety of the facility.
This role ensures smooth day-to-day functioning, vendor coordination, compliance with regulations, and high service standards across all facility services.
Facility Operations
- Oversee daily facility operations including housekeeping, security, and maintenance services
- Ensure all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety) are functioning efficiently
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the premises
• Vendor & Contract Management
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers
- Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs
- Assist in contract negotiations and renewals
- Maintenance Management
- Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and service requests
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and asset history
• Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards
- Conduct safety drills, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Maintain fire safety systems and emergency preparedness
• Budget & Cost Control
- Assist in preparing facility budgets
- Monitor expenses and optimize operational costs
- Ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services
• Space & Asset Management
- Support space planning and allocation
- Maintain asset registers and inventory records
- Track asset lifecycle and replacement planning
- Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as a point of contact for internal departments and tenants
- Address complaints and ensure high customer satisfaction
- Provide regular reports to senior management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Facility Management / Business Administration or related field
- 4–7 years of experience in facility management or operations
