Assistant Land Surveyor

About This Role

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Preparing the setting out for the project. Ensuring that the excavation of trenches is as per client requirements. Maintaining levels of pipelines and other equipment’s.
• Visits the project site for data collection (previous survey evidence, maps, physical evidence and other records) and demarcation of existing utilities and provides all site data to the projects Draftsman.
• Coordinates with the Project Engineer and the Draftsman in preparation of shop drawings for layout and profile for pipe laying in the field.
• Discusses with the Project Manager any changes/ modifications/ obstructions experienced during survey work.
• Collects relevant drawings from relevant departments/ sections (Municipality, Client) as needed.
• Directs and supervises the land surveyors in preparing the layout and identifying the excavation levels for each project
• Studies and analyses as-built drawings for existing utilities and recommend the pipeline and cables route accordingly.
• Sets out pipelines, working as per the coordinates for the route of the pipelines and maintains levels of pipelines.
• Coordinates with subcontractors on the level of pipelines and cables needed and requirements for the project.
• Plans, organizes, and directs the work of the Land Surveyors, Chainmen and laborers.
• Carries out inspections on survey work in coordination with the client/ consultant representative.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Surveying
• Minimum 5 years in land surveying.
• Good command in English
• Arabic is an asset.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Contracting & UAE: 3 years (Preferred)
