We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager to support the leadership team in delivering operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable experience.

The Role: The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee all aspects of the restaurant s daily operation, ensuring exceptional service standards, strong financial performance, efficient operational management, and a positive team culture.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to an experienced hospitality professional who thrives in premium dining environments and enjoys balancing guest engagement, team development, and commercial performance.

Operational Leadership

  • Support the General Manager in the overall operation of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient daily service.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, service delivery, cleanliness, and presentation throughout all guest touchpoints.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, hygiene, and company operating procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels, stock control, and purchasing activities to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.
  • Lead service periods when required and act as Manager on Duty in the General Manager s absence.

Guest Experience

  • Champion a culture of genuine hospitality and personalised service.
  • Ensure every guest receives a memorable dining experience that reflects the restaurant s premium positioning.
  • Proactively manage guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally and effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate service standards and enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Financial Performance

  • Assist in managing budgets, forecasts, and operational expenses.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including sales, labour costs, food costs, and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and maximise revenue while maintaining service excellence.
  • Support the preparation of regular operational and financial reports.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop supervisors and team members.
  • Foster a positive, high-performance culture built on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development support.
  • Lead by example, inspiring teams to consistently exceed guest expectations.

Business Growth & Brand Development

  • Support the implementation of strategic initiatives and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with culinary, marketing, and operations teams to enhance the guest offering and strengthen brand positioning.
  • Assist with special events, promotional activities, seasonal campaigns, and new product launches.
  • Contribute ideas and market insights that support business growth and innovation.
