Assistant Front Store Manager, Hourly Part Time Day

Role summary

Operations

• Maintain store standards to improve customer experience, customer traffic, and profitability.
• Work with the management team to keep standards in effect throughout the store, including the backroom.
• Help manage labour scheduling and use Work Force Management to maximize labour productivity.
• Ensure staffing levels are adequate for effective business operations.

Human resources

• Comply with human resources standards.
• Help hire or support hiring for all departments except Pharmacy.
• Maintain wage administration within SLPH guidelines.
• Promote Blue Culture and engagement, and lead and motivate staff through core values.

Qualifications and experience

• Previous retail management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to drive the business, lead by example, and support corporate programs.
• Ability to work effectively with the management team.
• Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.
• Business and financial acumen, and relationship-building skills with internal and external agencies.
• Planning, judgment, decision-making, inventory preparation, and expense-control skills.
• Effective time management, organization, and prioritization skills.

Pay

• Hiring range is $19.20–$22.20 per hour; experience, knowledge, and geographic region may affect the offer.

Work arrangement

• The role supports operations in a Shoppers Drug Mart store.
