Assistant Finance Manager
About This Role
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience within the UAE, with a strong understanding of local regulations, tax compliance, and financial reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports to the CFO.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate tax regulations and handle tax filings.
- Assist in managing external audits.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports and submit variance analysis reports to the CFO with reasons.
- Assist the CFO in treasury management.
- Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team to ensure high performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA - Finalist, ACCA, or CMA preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of UAE tax laws, IFRS, and local compliance standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ODOO, SAP, Tally).
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Valid UAE driving license will be a plus.
