Overview
As an Assistant Director of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall sales strategy and objectives of the hotel.
Working closely with the Head of Sales, you will contribute to revenue generation, client relationship management, and the overall success of the sales team.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Assist in managing and leading the sales team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and industry partners.
- Contribute to the creation of effective sales proposals, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute integrated sales and marketing campaigns.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
- Assist in negotiating and finalizing contracts with clients, ensuring terms align with business goals.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to build brand visibility.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless and positive guest experience.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and changes in market dynamics.
- Handle specific key accounts and develop strategies to maximize their contribution to the hotel's success.
- Uphold the hotel's brand standards and contribute to its overall market positioning.
- Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner to safeguard the health and safety of colleagues, as well as contribute to environmental conservation.
- Adhere to the company’s environmental, health, and safety procedures and policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field (Master's degree is an advantage).
- Minimum 5–8 years of progressive hotel sales experience, with at least 2–3 years as assistant director of sales.
- Valid UAE or GCC driving license
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue and sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of hotel sales, revenue management, market segmentation, and distribution channels.
- Experience in Global & local corporate and government segments.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing sales teams.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills with the ability to interpret market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance data.
- Ability to develop and implement sales strategies, manage key accounts, conduct business reviews, and represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and client meetings.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
