About This Role
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- To provide specialised care for pediatric patients on the in-patient and outpatient services.
- To collaborate in a team approach to ensure the best care for children in the service.
- To provide consultations under supervision to other divisions with the Department of Pediatrics and to other departments within the hospital as requested.
- Participates actively in Departmental educational program development.
- To teach and supervise Interns and Residents in the Department of Pediatrics.
- To conduct research under the supervision of the Departmental Research Consultant.
- To assist in the development of subspecialty programming as required.
- To participate in the Departmental Quality Assurance and Hospital program.
- To ensure that quality of care provided will meet the standards of JCIA / CBAHI.
- To assume responsibility in other divisions within the Department as requested.
- Participates in the on-call schedule of the Department as well as in assigned subspecialty on-call rotations, in accordance with the rules and regulations of Section and the Department.
- Fulfills his/her obligations related to Patient Records.
- To perform other duties as directed by the Chairman of the Department.
- To abide by the rules, policy and procedure of the Department and the Hospital.
- To be responsible for the patients under his care.
- Performs other job related duties as directed by the Section Head, the Chairman of Department of Pediatrics or the Executive Director of the Medical Services
